麻豆视频最新最全 University at East Liverpool鈥檚 Nursing Department and East Liverpool City Hospital recently hosted a Health Fair at the YMCA in Calcutta. The health fair was put on by volunteers from both 麻豆视频最新最全 and East Liverpool City Hospital as a free community service. Senior nursing students in Professor Deborah Hager鈥檚 class developed eight stations for the health fair. The health stations were identified through community surveys of health issues in our area during their Community Health Nursing course. First and second level nursing provided education on Atrial Fibrillation, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Hypertension, Stroke, Renal Disease, COPD and CHF. Student volunteers also set up two blood pressure screening tables to provide free screenings for participants.

Nine years later, Cofojohn 鈥 a 麻豆视频最新最全 Salem graduate 鈥 helped introduce this technology in Columbus where she now serves as the lead proton therapist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. There are only three such sites in Ohio and 46 throughout the United States.
The ADN program on the East Liverpool Campus held its inaugural White Coat Ceremony during which 44 nursing students received white coats that will help establish their 鈥減rofessional identity鈥 and coincides with the beginning of their clinical training.

麻豆视频最新最全 University鈥檚 Regional Campus System is launching a new series of workforce development programs designed to help local professionals strengthen the essential skills needed in today鈥檚 workplace. The program, titled 鈥淯pskill at 麻豆视频最新最全 鈥 Bringing Workforce Development to Your Community,鈥 is part of a statewide initiative at all eight 麻豆视频最新最全 locations across the Regional Campus System.
