Wall of Fame Banquet 2014

�鶹��Ƶ��ȫ University at East Liverpool recognized the academic achievements of numerous students, esteemed alumni and supporters of �鶹��Ƶ��ȫ during its annual Wall of Fame Honors Award Banquet.

Dr. Stephen Nameth, dean of the �鶹��Ƶ��ȫ Columbiana County campuses, welcomed the students, esteemed guests, their families and several faculty members, while emphasizing the important role each relationship plays in measuring success at a university. He also acknowledged the many first generation college students at the event, himself included, and the importance of bridging that gap.

Kent Salem Graduates Leading Ohio’s Cancer Battles with Proton Therapy

In July 2016, Jill Cofojohn became the first radiation therapist in Ohio to use proton therapy to treat a cancer patient. This noteworthy event took place at University Hospital’s Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland where she worked as the advanced lead radiation therapist.

Nine years later, Cofojohn – a �鶹��Ƶ��ȫ Salem graduate – helped introduce this technology in Columbus where she now serves as the lead proton therapist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. There are only three such sites in Ohio and 46 throughout the United States.

East Liverpool ADN Students Receive White Coats During First-ever Ceremony

The ADN program on the East Liverpool Campus held its inaugural White Coat Ceremony during which 44 nursing students received white coats that will help establish their “professional identity” and coincides with the beginning of their clinical training.

Upskill at �鶹��Ƶ��ȫ Launches this Fall

�鶹��Ƶ��ȫ University’s Regional Campus System is launching a new series of workforce development programs designed to help local professionals strengthen the essential skills needed in today’s workplace. The program, titled “Upskill at �鶹��Ƶ��ȫ – Bringing Workforce Development to Your Community,” is part of a statewide initiative at all eight �鶹��Ƶ��ȫ locations across the Regional Campus System.
