Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 鈥 Porthouse Theatre, 麻豆视频最新最全 University鈥檚 outdoor summer theatre located on the grounds of Blossom Music Center, invites you to its season of possibilities, beginning on June 13, 2026. In its 58th season, Porthouse Theatre will present 鈥淕谤别补蝉别,鈥 鈥淪ide Show In Concert,鈥 and 鈥淟erner and Loewe's Brigadoon鈥 in the summer of 2026.
鈥淕谤别补蝉别鈥 opens June 13 and runs through June 27. The preview performance will take place on June 13. Here is Rydell High鈥檚 senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding 鈥淏urger Palace Boys鈥 and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking 鈥淧ink Ladies鈥 in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head 鈥済reaser鈥 Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the romance of their 鈥淪ummer Nights鈥 as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as 鈥淕reased Lightnin鈥,鈥 鈥淚t鈥檚 Raining on Prom Night鈥 and 鈥淎lone at the Drive-In Movie,鈥 recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation
鈥淕谤别补蝉别鈥 is written by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs. The show debuted off-Broadway on February 14, 1972 at the Eden Theatre in New York City, transferring to Broadway鈥檚 Broadhurst Theatre, and later to the Royale Theatre, closing on April 13, 1980 after a record-breaking 3,388 performances. Porthouse Theatre鈥檚 production of 鈥淕谤别补蝉别鈥 will be directed by Porthouse Theatre鈥檚 Producing Artistic Director Terri Kent, with Music Director Jennifer Korecki and Choreographer Mart铆n C茅spedes.
鈥淪ide Show In Concert鈥 opens July 8 and runs through July 18. A preview performance will take place on July 8. Based on the true story of Siamese twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the Depression, 鈥淪ide Show鈥 is a moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies them love. Told almost entirely in song, the show follows their progression from England to America, around the vaudeville circuit and to Hollywood on the eve of their appearance in the 1932 movie 鈥淔reaks.鈥
鈥淪ide Show In Concert鈥 book and lyrics are written by Henrey Krieger, music is by Bill Russell with concert adaptation by Emma Butler. Porthouse Theatre鈥檚 production of 鈥淪ide Show In Concert鈥 will be directed by Porthouse Theatre鈥檚 Producing Artistic Director Terri Kent.
The 2026 Porthouse season will close with 鈥淟erner and Loewe's Brigadoon,鈥 running July 25 through Aug. 9. A preview performance will take place on July 25. Lerner and Loewe鈥檚 鈥淏rigadoon鈥 is a timeless, romantic classic which vividly brings the mystery and magic of the Scottish highlands to life. New Yorker Tommy Albright unexpectedly arrives at the mysterious Scottish Highland village of Brigadoon, which only appears for one day every 100 years. When Tommy meets and falls in love with Fiona, a beautiful villager in this magical hamlet, he must decide whether to return to his old life, or stay in Brigadoon 鈥 forever.
鈥淏rigadoon鈥 book and lyrics are by Alan Jay Lerner with music by Frederick Loewe. Porthouse Theatre鈥檚 production of 鈥淟erner and Loewe's Brigadoon 鈥 is directed by Porthouse Theatre鈥檚 Producing Artistic Director Terri Kent, with Music Director Jennifer Korecki and Choreographer Mart铆n C茅spedes.
