A Summer of New and Old Traditions at Porthouse Theatre

A Look Back at Porthouse Theatre's 2025 Season of Traditions

Porthouse Theatre's 2025 season of traditions has come to a close! It's time to take a look back on the shows that brought tears to your eyes and a smile to your face. Thank you to our cast, crew and staff for three amazing shows! And as always, the theatre isn't complete without you, our audience. We can't wait to see you next season!

"Fiddler on the Roof" kicked off the season with a reminder to never forget our roots. This classic has warmed the hearts of generations of patrons, while reminding them of the value of tradition.

Our second show, "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown," brought the widely loved Peanuts gang to our stage. With charm and wit, Charlie Brown and his friends reminded us of Charles Schulz's life lessons that so many of us learned through the beloved comic strip.

The Porthouse Theatre season ended with "School of Rock!" This rock musical reminded us that traditions are cool, but so is creating your own path and starting new traditions.

Thank you to all of our patrons who donated to our "Raise the Roof" campaign this season. We are nearing our goal, but we still need your help! The roof of Porthouse Theatre has been keeping our heads dry since 1968, when the theatre was built. Decades of Ohio weather have taken its toll, and we need to replace the roof by next season. If you would like to help us "raise the roof," please or send checks to Porthouse Theatre, B141 Center for Performing Arts, 1325 Theatre Drive, Kent, OH 44242.
