Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is committed to bringing accessible and affordable mental health care to our students.鈥€疶o be eligible for services, you must be an enrolled 麻豆视频最新最全 student, either undergraduate or graduate, and registered for classes on the Kent campus.鈥�
CAPS offers a variety of self-help resources, workshops, and skill series, in addition to short-term individual counseling and group counseling.鈥€疭tudents who are recommended to our counseling services are eligible for up to six sessions covered by student fees. If a student needs to be seen beyond this, CAPS can bill a student鈥檚 health insurance carrier directly for any services provided by our licensed clinicians.鈥€痀ou may want to check with your health insurance carrier to verify coverage.鈥� The鈥� CAPS Insurance Verification Guide鈥� can help you with that process.鈥� For students who do not have health insurance, CAPS offers a self-pay rate. For any sessions that are billed, payment is expected at the time of service.鈥€疊illing is handled by DeWeese Health Center; charges are typically billed to a student鈥檚 bursar account unless other arrangements are made. Due to the high demand for our services, we kindly ask that at least 24-hour notice be provided if you are unable to keep an appointment. A $20鈥痜ee will be incurred when a student fails to attend a scheduled appointment or does not provide at least 24-hour notice of a cancellation.鈥� This fee will be billed to the student's bursar account.
