Work in Progress: Continuing the installation of the temporary duct and assembly of new AHU1 in the East side mechanical room. Stripped topsoil from addition footprint. Phoenix air valve replacement in the Annex research labs continues per schedule. Continue coordination of the west mechanical room abatement and planning for demolition of AHU 3. Work in Progress: Floor electrical boxes in room 101 & 104 are complete. Plumbing under slab is complete in 101 & 104. The sanitary tie-in and under slab rough-in is complete and inspected for the new restrooms in addition. Electrical raceways have been installed in crawlspace. Project Advancing Wellness and Resilience Education (AWARE) Kent, a new three-year program at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ×îÐÂ×îÈ« University, is offering a Mental Health First Aid course to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ×îÐÂ×îÈ« University students, faculty, and staff. The course is an evidence-based training that teaches people to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders.  The eight-hour course is free, and participants earn 1500 FLASHperks (a rewards program that offers prizes) for completing the course. Each year, the College of the Arts and Sciences recognizes distinguished students, faculty, and advisors for outstanding contributions to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ×îÐÂ×îÈ« University and the College of Arts and Sciences.

David Smeltzer and Oscar Rocha successfully lead a faculty lead study abroad experience in Costa Rica.  This course included BSCI and JMC students who visited several locations in Costa Rica, including a dry forest, rainforest, cloud forest, and a coastal region.
